Partnership to Secure the Supply Chain: Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT)

C-TPAT

On September 11, 2001, U.S. Customs and Border Patrol realized the necessity of making the combating of terrorism the number one priority. C-TPAT (Customs - Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) was created as a layered defense against terrorism, with collaboration of the trade community in better securing the international supply chain into the United States. The goals of the program are two-fold, protection of the United States against terrorism and speeding the flow of compliant cargo and conveyances.

C-TPAT provides distinct benefits to U.S. importers in decreased examinations and other compliance benefits. In order to utilize these benefits, the U.S. importer must also use only C-TPAT certified Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders.

On 16 Nov 2005 DACHSER USA was certified by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency as a certified partner in the C-TPAT program. DACHSER USA views our participation in this program as vital to meeting the needs of our clients, and their logistics’ programs in the U.S., as well as vital to ensuring the security of the supply chain.

The DACHSER C-TPAT Partner ID is dacCon152024. The CBP SVI (Status Verification Interface) website allows consenting certified importers, licensed Customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, and others that are C-TPAT certified partners to verify the participation status of other consenting certified C-TPAT Partners, such as DACHSER.

DACHSER looks forward to participating in securing the global supply chain and looks forward to working with our customers and vendors to continue to strengthen this partnership.
