DACHSER receives C-TPAT certification
We are pleased to announce that DACHSER Transport of America, Inc. was certified on the 16th November 2005 by the US Customs Authorities as a partner in the anti-terror program C-TPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism). Recently there has been increased demand for this certification from our customers or alternatively we have been required to complete extensive questionnaires regarding our security measures in the United States.
After having carried out a comprehensive analysis of the security of our supply chain and having implemented systems to enhance our transport security, DACHSER Transport of America, Inc. is now able to actively contribute to this partnership, which aims to safeguard the security of imports into the USA. In return, we benefit from the many facilitations of trade offered by the US Customs Authorities. These include:
- An individually assigned contact person at the US Customs Authorities
- The possibility of grouping consignments together for customs clearance
- Reduced customs inspections and improved flow of cargo into the USA
- Anti-terror training
These advantages enable us to transport shipments faster and more reliably whilst adhering to the most up-to-date security measures.
