Dachser is growing in Denmark
Dachser – the international logistics provider – is expanding its Danish location in Kolding (southern Jutland). The company is to build new terminals and an office block on a site covering more than 63,300 square metres.
The new building project brings together Dachser’s four bases in the Kolding region on a single site. This will serve to increase both the capacity and efficiency of our operations. “Kolding has a central position as a logistics location in central and southern Jutland. The new branch will give us an outstanding opportunity to expand our logistics services,” says Finn Skovbo Pedersen, spokesman of the board of directors of Dachser Haugsted A/S. Over the next few years, the company aims to post double-digit growth. Work on the new branch is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year.
The project comprises a new office block, a new transshipment hall with 46 gates, and an additional warehouse building. There are also plans to construct a warehouse with 35,000 pallet spaces.
Niels Christensen, Dachser Haugsted branch manager in Kolding, highlights the fact that the site is connected to an international logistics network with full-coverage distribution in Europe: “Thanks to our entargo European product family, we can offer our customers in Denmark and Europe as a whole uniform and high-quality standards. Our own high-performance IT system ensures that we can provide Tracking & Tracing at the level of individual packages.”
Business centres in Denmark enjoy intercontinental connections through the activities of Dachser Air & Sea Logistics.
Last year, Dachser – the international logistics provider – generated sales worth EUR 3.1 billion with 15,000 employees working at 256 profit centres worldwide.
