DACHSER USA - a story with a long past and an even more promising future
The foundation for DACHSER Air & Sea Logistics was established with the launching of air freight service from Munich Airport in September 1951. Through expansion and acquisitions DACHSER has grown into a multinational organization spanning the globe.
At DACHSER Air & Sea Logistics today over 2,400 employees at over 133 Air & Sea Logistics Offices worldwide generate a turnover in excess of $ 1 billion per year.
DACHSER USA was formed in the mid 1970's to serve the growing local customer base in the United States to meet their worldwide logistics needs.
History
Three quarter of a century of global logistics
DACHSER celebrated its 75th birthday in 2005.
Mr. Thomas Dachser founded the company in Kempten, Germany in 1930 as a one-man shop initially. Since then, DACHSER has become one of the largest privately held logistics providers in Europe.
